when you're pulling your kiddo in his wagon with your camera around your neck and you snap pictures of your dog who runs in circles around the yard (I really love this dog you guys...)

Morgan's Bachelorette
Last night we celebrated Nick's brother Aaron's fiancé Morgan at her bachelorette. We went to a show called "All The Single Ladies" at Ned Devine's in Boston and it was HILARIOUS! Afterwards we headed over to Dick's Last Resort which is a fun place to visit if you have never been. It was really great to have a girls night out, and it was just so much fun. I won't post too many pics because, well, that just wouldn't be very nice.
Needless to say, I know Morgan had a great time and the wedding will be here before we know it!

Sarah & TJ's wedding
Friday night we celebrated the wedding of Nick's long time friend TJ to Sarah. It was beautiful outside and the event took place at Glen Magna Farm in Danvers, MA.
The ceremony was short and sweet and the wedding was wonderfully laid back. I've talked about this before, but we are truly fortunate that Nick's guy friends have married some really amazing women. I think of many of them as sisters to me, and yesterday someone commented that "friends are the family that you choose." I'd definitely say we've chosen some of the best ones.

Lowell Humane Society Updates
Being a volunteer at LHS has been really really great. I mean. Really great. I've been walking dogs on Tuesday mornings for a little over a month now. I love spending time with them and getting them out of their kennels. Even if it's just for a little while, I try to tire them out (which has been pretty easy as it's been so warm!) so they can hopefully relax. As the shelter itself is small, it's even easier for them to get stressed out and anxious.
I also took over the managing of their Instagram account, joined the Dog Team (promoting the welfare and enrichment and hopefully the adoption of the dogs), and am helping with the Beer & Wine Tasting that will be taking place this fall in Lowell to support the shelter. This coming Thursday there's a Koncert for Keeno, one of my favorite dogs there, who recently had knee surgery. I've also started getting in touch with people that have adopted dogs in the past to see if they have any questions, issues, or just want to give us a lovely update of their new pet- all of those conversations have been great, and it warms my heart to see these animals in the homes they always deserved.
My foster cat was just spayed yesterday and I am picking her up this morning. She's a sweet and very shy peanut of a girl, so I hope she did ok...
Now...how do I get paid to do these things?? :)
Here are some of my favorite guys and gals:
LOBO! I actually think he was just adopted, he's is the sweetest boy who spins when he is stressed so I know his new family will be great to calm him down and figure out his stressors :)

July 4th Weekend
We had a pretty great yet mellow July 4th weekend. We had friends over on the 3rd, relaxed on the 4th, and went to two BBQ's over the weekend. On Sunday we went to Nick's parents house and it was great to get the kiddos in their beautiful pool that doesn't get used nearly as much as it should!
