Well

Well, I've already fallen off the wagon with posting, haha. But honestly, we have not had too much going on, which is a pretty great thing! The last few weekends have been pretty low key, we had a children's party here and there, but we've had a really great time just relaxing, and just "being." With all the terrible and insane things that are happening in the world right now, it's nice to just focus on the things that are most important- family, friends, and being happy.

I'm really enjoying school and as this is my last class, I will be sad when it is over. I'm taking Fundamentals of Animal Health and it's very interesting and exciting for me, which makes it easy to go to class when I have it. I have a relatively big class (25 students) and I see a lot of familiar faces and friends so that is nice too.

We celebrated Alice's 3rd birthday a few weeks ago and our friends Andrew and Shaela had a party for their 2 and 1 year old, Ashlyn and Kailyn. It's always good to be with friends we've known for years and to see their beautiful children grow (and same goes for family, of course).

Hope you are all well and enjoying life. I know I am.

Family

Family. It's Good. It's Bad. It's Ugly. But, it's part of who we are. I'm grateful that Nick is close with his family and we got to hang with a big group of them today. Life is good, you guys. Life. is. good.

Eva's 1st Birthday

Today we celebrated Eva's 1st birthday, the daughter of our very close friends Matt and Jen. It was the perfect day and everyone had a great time.

Dinosaur Party!

Hello yes, I am a big slacker. Life has been wonderful, crazy, fun filled, and one event after another.

Nicholas turned 3 on March 12th and we celebrated with a dinosaur crazy birthday party.

One thing I knew I would be good at when I became a mother was planning. I've been planning parties with friends since I was around 10 years old, and it's just my jam. I love doing it, it makes me happy, it makes me feel useful, and I love sharing my home with the wonderful people we are fortunate enough to know.

Here are some pictures from the dinosaur crazy day. Everyone had a great time, and I'm happy to say I wasn't even exhausted when the event was over. It was a perfect day.

Thanks for the free dinosaur foot printables, Pinterest!

I'm not very crafty, but these turned out pretty cute!

This was my favorite! I bought party hats at the dollar store and cut off the top of them, and then took a little glue with the elastic and attached it to the hat and to their heads, then I glued a little pom pom on top. Once I started, I couldn't stop. So fun!

Thanks again for this great idea, Pinterest. These came out better than I could have hoped for!

Bucci Christmas Party

I've said it many times before, but it's worth saying again (and again and again). Nick and I are very lucky to have a great group of friends that we think of like family. This past weekend we went to our friend Matt & Deanna's that host an annual Christmas party and to say we had a blast would be an understatement. Our group is fun, fabulous, and knows how to party :) We did an As Seen On TV Yankee Swap and it was hilarious, as always. Their holiday party is one of our favorite traditions!

Matt and Deanna, our wonderful hosts!

The girls!

What happens when I say "make a dumb face everyone!"

More goofballs...

The guys!
