Sistah Boo Wedding

Hey everyone! So, as you know I am super far behind in my posting- I've got this wonderful ongoing list of blogs I intend to write, but just can't seem to find the time to do it! The (not so little) guy went to bed on the earlier side tonight so I have a little bit of free time, woohoo!

Alexis and Rich were married on February 6th and it was the beyond perfect day. Alexis was hoping for snow and she got the perfect amount the day before the wedding. The photos we have seen so far are absolutely amazing, and we cannot wait to see the rest!

We got ready at the Renaissance Golf Club, where the wedding took place. It was exciting, relaxing, and so much fun, to say the very least. It was great to be together and to see Alexis smile approximately every 30 seconds was absolutely wonderful.

The ride to the church was filled with anticipation. The ceremony was perfect- Nick and I kept stealing glances at each other and smiling like dopes, remembering how almost 8 years before we were in the very same spot as Alexis and Rich. It was beautiful and mesmerizing to watch the two of them exchange vows, knowing they are headed for a wonderful lifetime of being together.

The reception was so much fun- our friends Matt and Deanna were there and we had SUCH a blast together. Dancing (and of course drinking..) the night away. It was truly a wonderful winter fairy tale, from beginning to end.

We love you Alexis & Rich! <3 xoxo

Alexis' Bridal Shower

A few weeks ago we celebrated Alexis at her bridal shower. It was a really beautiful and perfect day. Her Maid of Honor did a wonderful job (we all helped where we could), Alexis looked stunning, and it was so great to celebrate her on a day that I know she has dreamed of forever.

The shower took place at Lenzi's which is right up the street from my house. It was recently redone and was absolutely gorgeous- the perfect setting for Alexis' "romantic" themed shower.

We kept it simple and played a few easy games- a how well do you know the bride and groom quiz, a "guess how many kisses in the kiss jar" game, and a few other little fun things went on. I made a photo book of Alexis' and Rich's life together so far and had everyone sign it. I was pretty proud of how it came out and I know Alexis loved it so that made me happy. Alexis got just about every item on her registry and there were so many people there to celebrate her. I loved capturing photos of the day and everyone said they had a wonderful time.

Bring on the wedding! Love you, sissy boo.

Congratulations to Alexis and Rich

This past Friday one day before Alexis' 30th birthday, her long time love Rich proposed! We couldn't be happier for them and we're so excited to help with their big day :) Alexis has been dreaming of her wedding day for as long as I can remember and we're so excited for her that planning can actually begin (and of course it already has;)

Love you both, to the moon and back!

On Saturday morning we went to brunch for Alexis, it was a great big group and although the food took forever, it was worth the wait and it was delicious. We spent most of our time trying to corral Nicholas into a corner and not run all over the restaurant. He loved his food and REALLY loved Auntie's cake as well.

Aaron and Morgan's Wedding

Last weekend Nick's brother got married to his long time girlfriend Morgan and we had the greatest time! It was so good to be with family and we got to relive our own wedding as well as they were married in the same church that Nick and I were married in six years ago. Nick's Auntie Marlene commented on Facebook that Aaron and Nick can remind each other of their anniversaries since they're only one day apart ;)

Morgan was stunning in a lovely lace gown- very Kate Middleton whom I know she is admires. Aaron looked so handsome and it was clear to see how happy and excited he was on their big day. Nick was the best man and while he stressed out quite a bit over the speech, he did a great job and I hope he made his brother proud. Morgan's long time friend served as Maid of Honor and she gave a great speech as well.

Such a great ceremony, followed by a fabulous dance party. Good times, good food, good family, and good friends- couldn't ask for anything more!

So happy for you guys- xoxo

Morgan and her Dad busted out a few awesome songs mid father-daughter dance- this was to Thriller (like you couldn't have guessed!)
Siblings and significant others :)
Nick's grandparents- yup you read that right :)

Tim & Christie

So, a few weeks ago a former colleague of mine asked if I could help her out doing some contract work for a few weeks. I took the job and it is just about winding down. It was tough getting back into the work groove but I was so happy the opportunity came along. I have known Carol for years and we've always gotten along well. It meant a lot to me that she thought of me for the job. She is so appreciative and thankful and that really makes all the difference.

Anyway, on to more exciting things than work!

Two weeks ago my cousin Tim got married and I was so thankful we were able to make it to the festivities. There was flooding on Long Island and we weren't going to stay at my brother's, but had no one that could watch Dexter. My Aunt and Uncle (Tim's Mom & Dad and it's my Mom's sister) were kind enough to open their home to us. Tim and his wife Christie are expecting their first child, a girl, this coming October. Tim and I were close growing up, I remember getting together often and we'd torment his younger sister, my cousin Jen (sorry Jen:) He is only a year younger than me and we've always gotten along well. It meant so much to me to be there. It was also my first time meeting Christie and I couldn't help but notice during the vows the way Tim looked at her. So clearly in love and it brought tears to my eyes. They are going to be such wonderful parents, I just know it.

Sarah & TJ's wedding

Friday night we celebrated the wedding of Nick's long time friend TJ to Sarah. It was beautiful outside and the event took place at Glen Magna Farm in Danvers, MA.

The ceremony was short and sweet and the wedding was wonderfully laid back. I've talked about this before, but we are truly fortunate that Nick's guy friends have married some really amazing women. I think of many of them as sisters to me, and yesterday someone commented that "friends are the family that you choose." I'd definitely say we've chosen some of the best ones.
