New Year's Eve 2013

Nick and I hosted a small gathering for NYE which consisted of his siblings and significant others, along with two couples we are close with that live nearby. We kept it simple with a few dips and then ordered chinese food, and I picked up a couple of pre made desserts (cream puffs, eclairs, and mini red velvet cupcakes). Kingsley and our friend Jen are both pregnant and Alexis and Morgan aren't big drinkers, so it was a nice low key night. Most left before the ball dropped but Jen was a trooper and stayed with Matt until the ball dropped. It was a great time!

Christmas 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas this year, both of which were spent at Nick's parents house. Tons of delicious food and wonderful gifts, but most importantly it was quality time spent with family.

From Friday to Sunday we headed to New York. On Friday night we celebrated Joe's birthday at a delicious restaurant called Monsoon. Many drinks and many calories were had by all- it was a fantastic time!

Erik & Joe and my parents were beyond generous with gifts for Nicholas. He is one lucky little boy to have so many people that love him so much. Also, another fail on our gingerbread house this year as a lot of the parts were broken when I took them out of the package. :/

Cousin's Party

Hi Everyone,

As you can imagine it's been pretty hectic lately with the holidays. I'm playing catch up with just about everyone and everything and finally have a free few minutes to catch up on the ol' blog.

The Saturday before Christmas we hosted the second annual cousin's party at our house. We invite all cousin's, significant others, and their children over for a holiday party. Nick's cousin Adam died unexpectedly last year so we do this in memory of him as well. It was a really nice and relaxing time. We also do a Yankee Swap and although there were no appalling/hilarious gifts this year, it was still fun.
