My dad had an appointment today to decide on treatment for his prostate cancer, but after getting there and spending almost an hour waiting, he was told his appointment has been moved to the 21st of June to discuss with the radiation/oncology department. A few people have asked so I just wanted to let everyone know the latest. More to follow when he actually gets to have his appointment!
Nicholas finished his first week of Day Care with flying colors! The first day was a little tough, he didn’t sleep unless he was held, but I brought a swaddle in for the second day and he did just fine after that. I really like the day care so far, they give a little report at the end of the day, when he ate, slept, diaper changed, and a little general note if it was a good day or bad, etc. The girls there are all very sweet (and young!) but I can tell they really love what they are doing, and that makes me feel good. Funny story – on day 1 Nick’s dad did a drop in visit for us to check on him, on day 2 Alexis asked if she could stop in because she had come back from vacation and hadn’t seen him for awhile. On day 3, Nick pulls in to pick him up and his mom’s car is in the parking lot – she was there for an hour just holding Nicholas. It’s funny but I really hope they don’t think we’re crazy over there :)
Nicholas has been pretty happy lately – I still look at him and marvel to myself “wow, we made him.” He’s getting a little chunky with some rolls now and it’s awesome. He can fit into some 3-6 month clothes, and he won’t be 3 months until June 12th. He also found his hands the other day and now likes to suck on them constantly and drool all over the place. He woke up in his crib last night and I went to check on him – he was happily sucking away on his hands, I hated to reswaddle him but I knew it would be difficult for him to go back to sleep without it.
My brother Erik and Mom are going to be visiting this weekend, I’m really looking forward to it. My Mom obviously can’t get enough of the babe and Erik visited when he was first born, so I know he’s going to be amazed at how much he has grown since then! We plan on seeing Snow White and the Huntsman at some point and probably grabbing some dinner at The Blue Taleh (great restaurant in Lowell!)
Hope everyone is doing well!
xoxo

I can just picture him sucking on those little fingers! Love it!! When are you going to listen to me and stop feeding him so he'll stop growing!? Actually, the bigger he gets the cuter he gets so I guess it's ok... ;) I'm jealous of Blue Taleh! Have a fabulous weekend with mom and Erik! You'll see much more of me after this week! :) xoxo
