Busy Bee!

Hi All,

Sorry I've been away so long. Now that I'm not working I think I'm actually busier than when I had a job! In the past few weeks I went to NYC for a bachelorette party for my friend Heather, went to Long Island to visit with family, went to a wedding shower, saw a friend from Virginia that was visiting, whipped up some new recipes, and sadly, a long time friend of my brother Erik, and a friend of the family, Betty, passed away. Betty lived with cancer for much of her life, but her death was sudden and a shock and devastating for so many people that have loved her and known her for so long. She will be terribly missed. I feel lucky to have known such an amazing mother and friend.

Nicholas is doing well, trying to talk more and more and for the most part is his happy, smiley self. He practically bounces out of the crib in the morning, one of these days I will try and video it, because you can't help but smile when you see him. He has started throwing tantrums and while I handle them well, Nick gets frustrated pretty quickly. I'm working on him :)

Pinterest has become my new friend and here are the three recipes I tried recently. The chicken stroganoff wasn't really for me (I should have known better) but Nick enjoyed it. The energy balls and french toast were AMAZEBALLS and I highly recommend them:

I also picked up my books for school and got my student id card which was very exciting! My first class will be the Thursday after Labor Day and I can't wait.

Nick and I are headed back to Long Island this weekend as my cousin is getting married on Sunday.

Lastly, here are some recent pics of the little guy. :)
