Smolak Farms

My brother Erik and his husband Joe visited this past weekend and we had an awesome time. It is always so great to see them and I'm so thankful they are building a relationship with Nicholas. On Sunday we participated in the Steps for Pets Fundraiser for the Lowell Humane Society. I volunteered for the event and although it felt great to help, I would like to and hope to be able to do more in the future. I made a good connection with one of the workers there and I'm hoping when my Mom visits I will have some free time to spend there and help them out with office work.

Today Erik, Joe, Nicholas and I went to Smolak Farms for pumpkin picking. Unfortunately Nick had to work so I'm hoping to go back there as a family and get another exorbitantly expensive pumpkin (it was worth it to see the little dude running around in the pumpkin patch though).

Here are some pics of our adventures today:

We started at the ducks and I knew instantly he was going to enjoy himself

This was probably his favorite guy, a huge animal but very sweet and gentle when he was fed (I fed him a lot too and had to remind myself to give Nicholas food because I enjoyed it so much!)

A perpetually smiling goat. Also adorable!

Chatting with the big guy

Being chased by Uncle Joe

More conversations with this guy. He honestly just sat down and start jabbering away.

An apple tree with pumpkins hanging from it- cute idea and a great photo op!

He only tried to pick up the heaviest pumpkins

My pumpkin smiling

He insisted on walking Bella in the pumpkin patch. She was not amused :)

My handsome bro with his pumpkin of choice

NOT a fan of pictures with Mom
