I signed up for Pinterest a few months back and didn’t see what all the fuss was about. I’d pin a few things and then do nothing with them. I’ve since pinned about 500 or so things and honestly, still haven’t done much with them. I’m a very organized person so I don’t have a need to have stuff all in one place, because I already do. Plus, Google pretty much takes care of it for me if I need a new recipe, information, etc.
I recently came across this idea, pinned it, and have actually used the pin. I thought it was a great one.
Basically, you take a jar and every time something good happens in the year, you write it on a piece of paper, put it in the jar, and at the end of the year (I’m thinking NYE), you open it and go through the memories.
As you can see I'm not the craftiest person in the world, I may go crazy and get a ribbon to go around the jar lid, but I'm happy with the way this looks :)
With Nicholas growing and changing what seems like every day, I thought it’d be a great idea to keep track of all the wonderful things that happen, both for him and for us. I’m a firm believer in “it’s all about the little things”, and think we all need to count are blessings, no matter how small, more than we realize.
xoxo
